The main objective of this thesis was to score function ability and the effects of severe RA. Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) and standardised generic questionnaire Arthritis impact measurement scales 2 (AIMS2) were used. These instruments were analysed also regarding to nursing diagnosis: impaired mobility (code - 00085), according to NANDA International, taxonomy II. We ascertained moderate to severe disability in our patients with RA by HAQ-DI. Convergent validity of our Slovak version of AIMS2 instrument was assessed by correlation coefficients towards HAQ-DI. This theoretical study deals with specifics of products provided in health care institutions and points out the role of marketing in such an organization and the need of its concrete targeting arising from this specification. It also analyses and points out the fundamental role of a patient as a final satisfied customer. It also suggests areas of marketing influence.

The submitted study deals with health problems and their global promotion with focus on mental health concretly applied to lay family caregivers. The main aim of the research is an assessment of their mental stress together with the possibilities which could reduce it and so contribute to its prevention. For research has been adopted questionnaire method which proved increased mental stress in lay family caregivers.

Our research was focused on taking and evaluating blood pressure in children at the age of 14-15 according to 4th Report of National High Blood Pressure Educational Programme (NHBPEP), the work group for children and adolescents by the year 2004 with the aim to identify the individuals with risk blood pressure values. Risk values in both the systolic and diastolic blood pressure (? 90.percentile) judged by 4th NHBPEP Report occurred in 13 (13%) boys as well as in 13 (13%) girls. Head trauma can lead to an olfactory loss. Physicians usually don't put much attention to this sensory deficit despite the fact that it can persist without improvement. To measure olfaction we introduced at our department easy, cheap and available test of olfactometry (Odourized Markers Test - OMT). We decided to compare OMT with standard olfactory test Sniffin' Sticks used in Germany.
