The paper shows the outcomes of an interview inquiry of aggression in healthcare facilities, which was implemented in the Faculty Hospital of Ostrava and Třinec Hospital in 202 nurses from selected departments. The aim of the study was to find out the incidence of verbal and physical aggression directed at nurses, to define the most common aggressor, to discover if nurses are able to defend themselves against the aggression adequately, if and what kind of information of aggression in health facilities they have.

The authors set to identify and compare opinions and attitudes of work experienced nursies and students of nursing careh on abortion issues. They used unusual way to collate the relevant information which has a project characteristic. The results of the research show that there is statistically significant difference between opinions of approached nurses and students. The nurses were expressing medium positive attitude and in some cases were close to all positive attitude towards this issue. The students took neutral view towards the issue of abortion and in some cases the opinion was between I cannot review a situation and more agree than disagree...

The article is focused on the hope and hopelessness of patients suffering from depression. The hope has a positive influence on health and well-being and is one part of one´s spirituality dimension. On the contrary hopelessness is frequently occurred as a symptom of depression and it has a negative influence on treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation of patients. Hopelessness leads to increased suicidal risk. We found out relative high proportion of patients with low hope and with hopelessness in spite of antidepressive treatment of these patients. Significant differences in level of hope were depending on marital status and denomination.
