Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) and standardised generic questionnaire Arthritis impact measurement scales 2 (AIMS2) were used. These instruments were analysed also regarding to nursing diagnosis: impaired mobility (code - 00085), according to NANDA International, taxonomy II. We ascertained moderate to severe disability in our patients with RA by HAQ-DI. Convergent validity of our Slovak version of AIMS2 instrument was assessed by correlation coefficients towards HAQ-DI. There were strong correlations between the HAQ-DI and 6 fysical functions scales of AIMS2 (p = 0,000). Internal consistancy coefficients for the 12 scales of AIMS2 were 0,76 - 0,96. HAQ-DI and AIMS2 instrument have excellent measurement properties that should be useful in confirmation nursing diagnosis impaired mobility in patients with RA.
