AB This article present an evaluation of the exposure to asbestos in the occupational background as an indicator of manifestation to illnesses cause of asbestos dust in the future. 112 workers earlier exposed to asbestos dust has been examined by the metod to study of cases and controls. Significant decrease the level of total antioxidant status in the group of patients earlier exposed to asbestos against the group non exposed has been found. Authors discuss preventive use of antioxidants and stress the importance of interdiscipline colaboration in care of workers, who were exposed in risk of asbestos.
